Frequently Asked Questions

HOME ORGANIZING

Absolutely not! Please don’t organize for the organizer. Seeing your space as you normally use it helps me understand what is working, what isn’t, and where you’re experiencing frustration. We start exactly where you are.

No. You are always in control of your belongings. My role is to help you work through the decision-making process, identify what is serving you, and create a space that works better for your life. The final decision about what stays and what goes is yours.

Please don’t let embarrassment keep you from asking for help. I understand that clutter can accumulate for many reasons, including busy schedules, major life changes, stress, grief, health challenges, moving, family responsibilities, or simply not having systems that work for you. My role is to help—not judge.

Yes! In fact, that’s one of the best reasons to bring in an organizer. When an entire home, room, or project feels overwhelming, we’ll break it into smaller, manageable steps. You don’t need to have a plan before I arrive. Creating that plan is part of what I can help you do.

No. I actually recommend waiting. Bins, baskets, containers, and other organizing products work best after we know what you are keeping and how you use the space. Whenever possible, we can also use items you already own before purchasing something new.

Yes. Moving and downsizing are about much more than packing boxes. I can help you sort belongings, decide what will move with you, declutter before the move, create an organization plan for your new space, and help make the transition feel more manageable.

My counseling background helps me recognize that clutter and disorganization aren’t always simply about knowing where to put things. Our belongings can be connected to memories, emotions, habits, stress, life transitions, and our sense of identity. I bring that understanding into the organizing process while keeping Home Organizing separate from counseling services.

Frequently Asked Questions

LIFE & WELLNESS COACHING

Life & Wellness Coaching is practical, goal-oriented support designed to help you make meaningful changes in your everyday life. Depending on your goals, we may work on routines, organization, time management, budgeting, accountability, stress management, life transitions, or creating healthier and more sustainable habits.

Coaching may be a good fit if you know something in your life needs to change but you’re having difficulty figuring out where to begin—or you know exactly what you want to do but need structure and accountability to follow through.

Your goals determine the focus. Areas may include creating routines, managing your time, setting and following through on goals, organizing everyday responsibilities, budgeting, managing stress, preparing for a life transition, establishing boundaries, or simply creating more structure in an area of life that currently feels chaotic.

Yes. Budget management can be incorporated into Life & Wellness Coaching. The focus is on helping you understand your spending, distinguish needs from wants, develop realistic routines around money, organize bills and expenses, and create a system you can realistically maintain. This service is educational and organizational in nature and is not financial or investment advice.

Yes. Instead of trying to create a “perfect” routine, we’ll look at your actual life and build systems around it. The goal is to develop realistic habits and routines that are simple enough to maintain—not systems that only work when everything goes according to plan.

Coaching and counseling can both support change, but they serve different purposes. Life & Wellness Coaching is generally future-focused and centered on goals, routines, accountability, practical problem-solving, and lifestyle changes.

Individual Counseling is a clinical service provided within my professional scope as a Licensed Addictions Counselor. Counseling may address substance use, recovery, behavioral and emotional concerns, and other issues appropriate to my training and licensure.

If you’re unsure which service is appropriate, we can discuss your needs and determine the best starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

I am a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) and provide individual counseling within my professional scope of practice. My work can include concerns related to substance use, addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and the behavioral and emotional challenges that can accompany making significant life changes

No. You may have questions or concerns about your relationship with alcohol or other substances without knowing exactly how to define what you’re experiencing. Counseling can provide a confidential space to explore those concerns and determine what changes, resources, or additional support may be appropriate.

Yes. Recovery doesn’t end when substance use stops. Counseling can support the ongoing work of recovery, including identifying triggers, strengthening coping skills, navigating changes in relationships and routines, establishing boundaries, preventing relapse, and building a life that supports continued recovery.

Yes. Counseling is confidential, with specific legal and ethical exceptions that will be discussed as part of the informed-consent process before services begin.

Yes. Instead of trying to create a “perfect” routine, we’ll look at your actual life and build systems around it. The goal is to develop realistic habits and routines that are simple enough to maintain—not systems that only work when everything goes according to plan.

Counseling services are available only when permitted by applicable professional licensing requirements. Because licensure requirements can depend on where a client is physically located at the time services are provided, eligibility will be confirmed before counseling begins

No. Sakura’s Individual Counseling services are self-pay. Payment and current fee information will be discussed before services begin so you know what to expect.

Your well-being comes first. If your needs fall outside my professional scope or you would benefit from a different provider or a higher level of care, I will discuss that with you and recommend appropriate next steps or resources whenever possible.
